Description
Manage NOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring and support for network and server environments. Directly manage all NOC staff, including shift leads, engineers, and technicians; oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management Lead and mentor fostering technical excellence and accountability. Serve as the single point of contact for all NOC operations, service restoration, and incident escalation—available 24x7, 365 days/year. Oversee configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of 500+ network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, fiber connectivity). Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of NOC processes, including monitoring, event management, incident response, and change management. Manage virtual server environments for high availability and performance. Develop operational processes, escalation procedures, and incident response plans aligned with ITIL best practices. Manage service assurance tools, dashboards, and reporting for network performance, availability, and SLA compliance. Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors for network upgrades, fiber deployments, and infrastructure projects. Provide program-level oversight for IT networking and fiber initiatives, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Coordinate with field services, engineering, and executive leadership to support network upgrades, migrations, and special projects. Prepare executive-level reports, KPIs, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the NOC team. Minimum 5 years as an IT Operations Center Manager. Minimum 10 years of experience in network operations, including at least 5 years managing a Net Operations Center (NOC) or similar 24x7X365 operations team. Minimum 5 years monitoring and managing configuration of 500+ network devices. Minimum 5 years monitoring and managing a virtual server environment. Strong technical expertise in networking and fiber technologies. Bachelor's degree required. Although Master's degree in engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent formal training and experience) preferred. Current ITIL Foundation certification and one Intermediate-level ITIL certification. Proven ability to manage large-scale IT networking and fiber programs, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication. Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management for fiber and network infrastructure projects. Advanced knowledge of fiber optic technologies, network architecture, and high-speed connectivity solutions. Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, and enterprise-grade routing and switching platforms. Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.) and automation frameworks. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional). Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCIE) for advanced networking expertise. CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CySA+ for foundational and security knowledge. Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for network environments. Knowledge of network automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting). Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and advanced cybersecurity frameworks. Strong vendor and contract negotiation skills for fiber and networking services. Ability to manage multi-site network deployments and large-scale fiber rollouts. Experience with large-scale network migrations, upgrades, and service transitions. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Network Engineer Associate for cloud networking. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) for security leadership.
