Description
Job Details Job Location: Tamuning GU - Tamuning, GU 96913 Position Type: Full Time Join Our Team as a NOC Technician! At DOCOMO PACIFIC, we believe in connection, bringing people, innovation, and opportunity together to shape a brighter future for our island communities. Rooted in the values of excellence, respect, trust, and teamwork, we are powered by the spirit of Ina’fa’maolek, working together for the greater good. We’re looking for a NOC Technician to join our Network Operations Center team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our network—monitoring, troubleshooting, and protecting the services that keep Guam and the CNMI connected 24/7, 365 days a year. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love problem-solving, and enjoy being the calm in the storm when issues arise, this role is for you. What You’ll Do As a NOC Technician, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of network monitoring, incident response, and coordination across teams to ensure service reliability and performance. You will: Monitor DOCOMO PACIFIC’s Video, Internet, Mobile, Voice, and IT networks using enterprise-level surveillance tools (RAN, Transmission, IP Core, EMS, NMS, OSS, Servers, Power, and more). Manage trouble tickets from start to finish—creating, tagging, escalating, coordinating, and closing tickets in accordance with SLAs and KPIs. Perform first-level isolation and troubleshooting of alarms, outages, and service degradations. Coordinate with Customer Care, Field Operations, IT, and vendors to resolve incidents and customer-impacting issues. Dispatch Field Operations for outages, alarms, and site facility issues, including managing schedules, work orders, and follow-ups. Support Change Management by creating and monitoring Planned Work Orders (PWOs), ensuring proper approvals, notifications, and post-implementation reviews. Send timely outage and maintenance notifications via email, Teams, chat groups, and SMS for planned and unplanned events. Participate in incident escalations, War Rooms, and root cause investigations, including requesting and documenting Reasons for Outage (RFOs). Perform routine network quality checks to proactively identify and prevent potential issues. Maintain detailed logs, shift handover reports, incident reports, and KPI performance documentation. Ensure monitoring tools, documentation, and network records are accurate and up to date. Support and oversee Managed Services by validating processes, reports, and monitoring integrity. Assist with training staff, users, or customers when needed. Contribute to continuous improvement of NOC policies, procedures, and workflows. Who We’re Looking For We’re searching for a sharp, detail-oriented problem-solver who stays cool under pressure and takes pride in keeping critical systems running smoothly. You’ll thrive here if you’re: A network watchdog who loves monitoring systems and catching issues before they escalate. A calm decision-maker who can assess situations quickly and escalate appropriately. A strong communicator who works seamlessly with Customer Care, Field Ops, IT, and vendors. A team player who values clear handoffs, documentation, and collaboration across shifts. A tech-curious learner who adapts easily to evolving technologies and tools. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree in Electronics & Communications, Computer Science, or equivalent military technical training; or 4–5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry or service provider networks. Experience with Technology or Business Support Systems is a plus. Technical Know-How: Solid understanding of telecommunications principles and network operations processes. Basic to intermediate knowledge of: Mobile and fixed technologies (OSI model, switching, routing, wireless, RF, satellite). EMS, NMS, and OSS platforms. Video systems, backend controllers, and quality analyzers. Familiarity with Linux and Cisco environments. Experience or exposure to scripting or programming is a plus. Comfortable working with desktop applications and multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux). What You Bring Positive and energetic personality. Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills. Calm and approachable under pressure. Self-motivated and able to make sound decisions. Professional, empathetic, and customer-focused communication style. Work Schedule This is a full-time role that requires flexibility, including shift work, based on department and company needs. Our NOC operates 24x7, 365 to keep our communities connected. Why You’ll Love It Here When you join our team, you become part of something bigger, helping connect our island communities and driving positive change for the future. You’ll work with passionate colleagues in a supportive environment that values growth, innovation, and teamwork. Also, we provide: Career Growth: Start here and move up.
