Job Details Job Location: Coburn's of Jackson TN (75) - Jackson, TN 38301 Summary The Warehouse and Driver positions are responsible for ensuring that material is readily available to send to customers. These positions must accurately and safely receive and store materials, as well as picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery to customers, maintaining Coburn’s exceptional standard of customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Focus Area: Performance Measure: Receiving All physical items are matched to the packing slip and material is checked in within the same day that it is received, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product. Stocking On the same day the material arrives it is safely placed in the proper place (bin/ shelf) where future pullers can easily gather for shipping. Picking/Pulling Correct material is picked/pulled in a timely and safe manner and staged in the appropriate area with no injuries, near misses or damaged product. Shipping The correct material is prepared for delivery in a timely manner by gathering and staging it along with the Packing Slip or Confirmed Transfer in a manner that is free of injuries, near misses & damage to the product. Delivery Deliver order accurately and timely to the correct customer location in a safe manner while maintaining Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service with no injuries, accidents, near misses or damaged material. Qualifications Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred OR 2 years of experience in related industry. Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to read a map and/or follow written directions. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Routinely drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required. Must pass company required drug screen and physical. Age & Licensing Requirements Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have to ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations. Non-CDL Drivers: Drivers of vehicles that are transporting material intrastate, with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or less are required to be a minimum age of 21 years old and licensed as follows: Texas– personal driver’s license with medical card. Mississippi & Tennessee- Class D license with medical card. Louisiana – Chauffer’s license (Class D) with medical card. In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
