Description

Job title: Non-CDL Driver Reports to: Operations Manager Payroll status: Non-exempt Supervise: None Job Summary: The non-CDL driver is responsible for spotting trailers, processing inbound and outbound orders, and movement of trailers. The person must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, team attitude. . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers * Provide directions for all inbound and outbound loads * Responsible for moving trailer onsite and offsite within Vertical’s yard * Interact with truck drivers and customers. * Provide superior customer service. * Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures. * Maintain regular attendance at work. * Other duties to be assigned as business necessitates. Job Qualifications - Education and Experience: * Prior production experience is desired. * Non-CDL license required. (Driver License) * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and incoming and outgoing load documents. Physical Requirements: * Regularly stand and walk for 8 or more hours a day. * Effectively handle lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds frequently. * Frequently required to bend, twist, use hands to finger, handle, control and climb or balance, reach with hands and arms.
