ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking one (1) Non-Executive Director.
The position requires attendance at and contribution to OneCare Board Meetings as well as appointment to a Board Committee/s as determined by the Board Chair. The role of the Non-Executive Director is to work with fellow Directors and the CEO to bring an impartial and objective perspective to the governance structure of the organisation.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will have strong strategic leadership skills, preferably with extensive aged care industry knowledge, strong financial acumen, risk management expertise, strong stakeholder engagement and a focus on transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making.
If you are looking for an opportunity to work within the Aged Care sector and preferably have capacity to attend face-to-face monthly meetings at various locations within Tasmania, we are keen to hear from you.

The successful applicant will possess skills and/or knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

  • Contemporary aged care industry experience
  • Relevant financial/ accounting knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience in project management of large capital works programs or IT projects.
  • Contemporary relevant strategy and leadership expertise in regulated organisations.
  • An effective and respectful team member who demonstrates empathy but has the capacity to question and challenge, with sound communication skills

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • An Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) qualification (or equivalent) and/or experience working within a Governing Body.
  • A current NDIS Endorsed Working with Vulnerable People Check.
  • A National Police Check.
  • Director Identification Number.
