We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Board. The ideal candidate will bring specialist expertise in all or some of these areas - Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Change Management. This role requires a strong commitment to good conduct and governance, ensuring that the company operates with integrity and transparency.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the financial services sector.
  • Expertise in Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Change Management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and governance best practices.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide independent judgment and constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

ROLE DUTIES:

You will be expected to devote such time as is necessary for the proper performance of your duties and you should be prepared to spend at least 18 days per year on company business after the induction phase. This is based on preparation for and attendance at:

  • Scheduled board meetings
  • Scheduled committee meetings (as applicable)
  • Individual meetings with compliance director quarterly
  • Time spent in the business

As standard, these will be held in Bristol but, on occasion, might be held in the Newcastle or Gibraltar offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Board and executive team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure robust governance practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Offer insights and expertise in Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, AI, and Change Management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the company’s performance and risk management processes.
  • Foster a culture of good conduct and ethical behaviour across the organisation.
  • Participate in Board meetings and relevant committees.
