We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working person to join our team immediately. Job Summary: Non-ferrous graders are primarily responsible for grading and sorting incoming non-ferrous metals based on various factors, including appearance and quality. This is a fast-paced role that requires multi-tasking and excellent customer service. General Responsibilities: · Grade and sort incoming non-ferrous metals · Accurately input materials into purchasing software · Help customers unload vehicles · Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times · Communicate with yard personnel · Keeps non-ferrous area clean, well-organized, and safe · Operate forklift · Assists in building non-ferrous loads · Keep NF lead informed of any delays or issues · Perform other tasks as assigned or requested Physical Demands: · Frequently required to reach with hands and arms · Able to talk and hear · Standing, sitting, walking, squatting, bending, lifting, reaching, and grasping · Dexterity of hands and fingers · Lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist level and carry such objects for at least 30 feet · Exposed to moving mechanical parts · Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, and outside weather conditions · The noise level in the work environment varies from loud to very loud Qualifications: · Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications · High school diploma or GED · 18 years of age · Experience in scrapyard preferred but not required · Self-motivated and eager to learn · Reliable with the ability to adhere to a work schedule What We Offer: · Competitive pay · PTO starts at 2 weeks per year and increases with years of service · 8 paid holidays · Company-sponsored medical, vision, and dental insurance · Annual safety boot reimbursement · 401k · Free gym membership Starting pay $18-19/hr depending on experience Full-time position at 40 hours per week
