Description
Description Help Us Get Patients Where They Need to Go Do you enjoy driving, helping people, and being the friendly face someone sees on their way to care? We’re looking for a dependable Part-Time Non-Medical Transportation Driver to help transport patients from their homes to our clinic for appointments — and safely back home afterward. This is a great role for someone who likes being out and about, knows how to stay on schedule, and genuinely enjoys helping people. This is a part-time, as-needed position. Patient transportation services are generally offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and the Driver will typically be scheduled only when transportation services are needed. This role is best suited for someone seeking flexible, occasional part-time work. What You’ll Be Doing As our transportation driver, you’ll help make healthcare more accessible by: Picking patients up from their homes and driving them to our clinic for appointments Taking patients back home after their visit Providing friendly, respectful, and reliable service Helping patients enter and exit the vehicle when appropriate Keeping the vehicle clean, safe, and ready to go Communicating with clinic staff about delays, schedule changes, or concerns Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual A safe, careful driver Friendly, patient, and respectful Comfortable interacting with patients from different backgrounds Able to follow a schedule and communicate clearly Calm when plans change or the day gets a little hectic Comfortable using GPS, a phone, or basic scheduling information Requirements Valid driver’s license Acceptable driving record Ability to pass required background checks and screenings Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to assist patients with basic, non-medical support, such as opening doors or helping them safely enter and exit the vehicle Previous transportation, healthcare, customer service, or patient-facing experience is helpful, but the right attitude matters a lot here.
Responsibilities
Transport patients safely from their homes to the clinic for appointments and back again. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and communicate schedule changes to clinic staff while ensuring patient privacy.
