Description
Function/Duties of Position Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide. Gain experience in designing, conducting, and interpreting experiments in chemical biology, cell biology, and biochemistry. Acquire new knowledge in the fields of ADP-ribosylation and ubiquitylation through conducting research, attending group meetings, and reading the literature. Maintain an organized lab notebook. Be a responsible lab member by keeping the lab bench and common areas clean and assisting with general reagent preparation. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Enrolled in or on vacation from, or is otherwise registered in, and Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours). Preferred Qualifications Undergraduates who are pursuing science majors preferred but not required. Basic laboratory skills. Additional Details Working hours of this position may vary but are mostly Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 5:00pm, with occasional after hour and weekend work required. Location is the OHSU Marquam Campus in Portland, Oregon. Work is performed in an open lab with a variety of research activity in the general vicinity.
