JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Non-profit Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and be skilled in various accounting practices, ensuring that our financial records are maintained accurately while also contributing to the overall success of our initiatives.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in financial accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and account reconciliation practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with Quicken is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • A background in non-profit work or community service is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with community members, stakeholders, and potential donors to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounting and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Utilize Excel and Quicken for data analysis, account reconciliation, and financial tracking.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for fundraising and community outreach.
  • Assist in organizing events that raise awareness and funds for the organization.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including maintaining records of donations and contributions.
