Description
The Registered Arrhythmia Technologist in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Unit works with the interdisciplinary team to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Lab and Device Clinic to deliver safe and efficient patient care and outcomes. 1. Completion of a two year Cardiovascular Technology Diploma Program 2. Current registration with the CSCT (Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists) 3. Current IBHRE certification or required completion within 3 years of employment 4. Minimum of 3 years recent related experience in an electrophysiology lab or device clinic 5. Demonstrated ability to use electrophysiology recording and mapping systems 6. Demonstrated knowledge of pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators and their programming 7. Demonstrated advanced skills in ECG Interpretation 8. Ability to work wearing a mask and lead apron for extended periods of time 9. Experience with cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology 10. Excellent problem solving skills 11. Effective time management skills, ability to organize work and set priorities 12. Effective verbal and written communication skills 13. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member 14. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment 15. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education 16. Current BCLS
