Position Overview


Responsible to collect, receive and prepare samples for diagnostic testing and result reporting. Provides support to Medical Laboratory Technologists. Provides other supporting services including equipment care and calibration.

Basic Requirements


Basic Requirements


  • Graduated from an accredited MLT program and registered for CSMLS Exam;

or


  • Internationally Educated Technologist participating in an approved Prior Learning Assessment Program or an approved Bridging Program;
  • Knowledge of relevant accreditation standards, health care regulations, and knowledge in medical laboratory theory, principles and practices;
  • Understands occupational health and safety legislation;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

As a pre-condition of employment, all new EORLA employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
