About the Role: The Non Union Janitor at Alpharetta Training Center, 1010, plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, trainees, and visitors. This position ensures that all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established standards, contributing to the overall health and safety of the facility. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks as well as responding promptly to any immediate cleaning needs that arise throughout the day. By performing these duties diligently, the janitor supports the smooth operation of the training center and helps uphold its professional image. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. * Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. * Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment safety. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in a training center, educational, or similar institutional environment. * Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and proper handling of cleaning agents. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Strong time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within scheduled hours. * Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management. Responsibilities: * Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. * Sanitize high-touch surfaces and restrooms regularly to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of illness. * Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low. * Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds to the appropriate personnel. * Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or training sessions as needed.
