Description SUMMARY KTEC is a public charter school that is looking for strong, forward-thinking individuals to build the foundation of the school. FUNCTIONS Essential Functions The food service monitor position is essential for KTEC to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students during breakfast and/ or lunch service. Specific responsibilities include supervising recess and indoor mealtimes, sweeping, mopping, wiping tables; emptying waste receptacles; serving food, inventory food, follow safe food handling procedures, replenishing supplies; and performing other related food service duties. Empties cleans, and lines waste and recycling receptacles. Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing hard-surfaced floors. Cleans and disinfects tables Cleans serving line Washes serving pans and utensils Accurately counts food served and available Replenishes food service supplies. Maintains facility security during a work shift. Observes and reports student behavior issues to administration Assists with the set-up and arrangement and/or take down of table Supervise students at recess and in the cafeteria Other Functions Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Experience, Education, and/or Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid drivers license in good standing. Must pass a background check. Required Skills and Abilities: Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor. Follow oral and written instructions. Safely use and apply cleaning agents, equipment, and materials. Work on your own initiative without close supervision. Perform arithmetic calculations at the level necessary for satisfactory job performance. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to maintain a positive attitude. Communicate effectively and timely, verbally and in writing. Plan, organize, and prioritize work. Remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment and needs WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work Environment: Cafeteria and outdoor recess space Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to manipulate equipment and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time. The employee may lift objects up to 50 pounds. The employee will be subjected to various weather conditions of all four seasons including sub-zero temperatures, rain, snow, sleet, high temperatures, and windy conditions during programming.
