Description The North Central AHEC Program Specialist develops, implements, and evaluates programs and activities that support the AHEC mission to recruit, train, and retain a health profession workforce committed to underserved populations. Pipeline Programs Develops, implements, and evaluates pipeline programs to generate interest in and increase awareness of healthcare professions, and increase the number of individuals who pursue healthcare careers. Supplemental Programs Develops, implements, and evaluates supplemental programs that align with the AHEC mission to recruit, train, and retain a health profession workforce committed to underserved populations. Outreach & Engagement Conducts ongoing outreach to build partnerships and assess community and workforce needs. Fosters engagement in and awareness of AHEC programs by partners and communities. Financial & Grant Management Supports the development and monitoring of grant work plans, budgets, and reporting requirements. Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, or equivalent, with at least three (3) years of experience in program development, participant recruitment and coordination, and/or outreach and engagement strategies. Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience in healthcare and/or post-secondary education preferred Valid Montana Driver’s License required Travel Requirement: 15-20% of work time, both within and outside of the state. Some overnight travel is required.
