Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

North Kelvin Extra Time is a daily afterschool multi sports programme in the north-west of Glasgow designed to integrate daily exercise and regular lifestyle education into the lives of primary school children. The project runs daily, 2-hour afterschool care and the role would entail being available for all sessions throughout the week.
The role on offer would involve delivery of the NK Extra Time curriculum on a daily basis within in one of our new NK Extra Time school sites. The role is on a 10 hour per week fixed basis however there may be scope to increase these hours through potential work with different projects that North Kelvin Sports Development Group operates.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure quality delivery of the North Kelvin Extra Time at a delivery site in the north-west of Glasgow
  • The delivery of NKET curriculum to be delivered at each delivery site
  • Maintain a strong relationship with all partners and participants in the programme
  • Regular contact with the coordinator and ensuring all registers and programme data is up to date and stored safely
  • Abide by the club ethos and philosophy
  • Promote the improvement of physical and sporting activity along with positive lifestyle choices
  • Abide by and promote sound ethics and club policy, child protection, fair play and equal opportunities to all members
  • Report monthly to the project Coordinator
  • Any relevant club business as directed by the club management committee
