Northern Area Sales Manager ABUK
The purpose of your job is to… meet and exceed sales objectives of a specific geographic region through management, training, motivation, support and guidance of the territory sales engineers within that area.
To do this well you must… give a supportive and high quality service to all technical sales engineers under your management, whilst always thinking ahead and acting to meet the ever-evolving needs of our organisation.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least three to five years of individual sales experience in business-to-business sales and able to document personal performance, including total sales, sales growth and rankings
  • Ideally, the applicant should have experience managing salespeople, though other management experience will suffice in some cases
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring and training personnel and performance evaluations
  • Experience in collecting, analysing, interpreting sales data and report writing
  • Providing first-class, proactive customer service
  • Pioneering improvements and changes to meet organisational objectives
  • Giving excellent support to field workers
  • Knowledge of the belting industry

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think logically and apply a methodical approach to organising information or preparing a business proposal.
  • Proficient user of business software packages
  • High level of accuracy, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidence of staff at all levels
  • Ability to cost-effectively fulfil an unending requirement from finite resource

Responsibilities
  • To manage the Sales function and its strategy with confidence and vision to reach our organisational objectives.
  • To be continually thinking creatively and innovatively about cost-effective ways to deliver sales development and improvement to better meet the growing needs of the business
  • To promote a high level of service to our customers where failure may mean the loss of business or the inability to maximise opportunities; this may also be out of hours when necessary.
  • To effectively prioritise and deal with the diverse and often urgent needs to meet organisational objectives.
  • To be continually improving the sales service provision.
  • To manage and maximise the sales budget, recognising and perceptively judging the balance between cost-saving and necessary spending to deliver our organisational objectives
  • To give time and expertise to technical sales engineers, equipping them with the very best practices to enable them to work effectively
  • To willingly contribute expertise and practical help in preparing, analysing and providing data
    Carrying out other duties that may reasonably be required
