JOB DESCRIPTION

The Regional Agronomist position will be assigned to work with AgXplore Sales Representatives assisting in product education, research activities, and general support during the sales process. This role will be assigned to a specific geographical area of responsibility but will provide additional support as needed in other areas. Responsibilities are defined below and may also include additional duties assigned by the Director of Sales or Executive Vice President.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

· B.S Degree in Agronomy / Agriculture related field or (5) years of industry experience is required.
· Current and relevant knowledge of crops, production, and equipment.
· Comfort and effectiveness in public speaking.
· Prior research and/or on-farm experience is a plus.
· UAV license is a plus for possible drone assisted plot work.
· Proficiency with data collection software preferred but not required.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a team focused environment.

Responsibilities

· Product training for AgXplore employees and customers.
· Participation in routine sales ride-a-longs and customer visits.
· Provide consistent sales support for AgXplore sales team.
· Actively conduct Grower and Dealer presentations.
· Provide Agronomy support (both internal and external).
· Aid in farm trials, demonstrating products and technologies.
· Responsible for the collection and distribution of third party and farm trial data.
· Facilitate in-field agronomy training on general agronomic topics as well as positioning and use of AgXplore product portfolio.
· Open communication and collaboration amongst Regional Agronomy team.
· Must have ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
