ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Ready to lead with purpose and impact? We’re looking for a dynamic leader to take charge of our surplus sales and ASVP Program, where exceptional customer service and operational efficiency work in tandem. In this hands-on role, you’ll be more than a supervisor—you’ll be an active presence on the front lines, guiding your team with energy and insight while driving strategic improvements, and ensuring customer service excellence across the program. If you’re passionate about people, process, and performance, this is your chance to shape the future of Surplus Sales and ASVP!

The position ensures effective, accountable, and value-driven service delivery, while promoting continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.
You will tap into your detailed knowledge of existing operational processes, combined with an ability to apply a systems approach to continuous improvement, prioritizing metric-based and client feedback to improve processes, and deliver on operational goals. Large numbers of diverse projects with conflicting priorities are often a factor in the work of this unit, which adds an additional level of complexity to the role.
As the Northern Region Coordinator, you are a front-facing, Enterprise-wide service provider that also serves external industry, law enforcement, the broader public service (BPS), and Albertan stakeholder groups. To be successful in this, a professional demeanor and strong communication skills are required. The critical function of this role is the development and maintenance of a team with a high-functioning culture of customer service excellence for clients.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Operational oversight of Surplus Sales and ASVP programs.
  • Staff supervision, development and performance management including front-line leadership and hands-on supervision.
  • Accountability for program efficiency and effective delivery, budget adherence, forecasting needs communication, and financial oversight to ensure programs provide value to the public.
  • Advancing strategic initiatives that improve service quality, generate value, and align with sustainability goals.
  • Stakeholder engagement and program education.
  • Supporting long-term program success through planning, oversight, and continuous improvement.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD DEMONSTRATE A STRONG LEVEL OF:

  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Decision making and results-focused business planning.
  • Political acumen.
  • Conflict resolution and dealing with emotionally-driven complaints.
