Job Duties: Completes Opening and Closing shift checklists daily. Follows our proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves efficiency goals. Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade and table-top mixer and pastry bags to frost cakes. Consistently uses timer to for setting frosting on cakes to meet time standards for waiting guests. Keeps crafters informed. Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly. Responsible for maintaining par levels for cake sizes and flavors. Prepares and crafts all custom bundtini orders. Ensures an frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case for best presentation to guests. Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs. Responsible for maintaining the refrigerator cleanliness, par levels and organization of all cake products. Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required. Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues. Maintains cake waste log. Prepares cake boxes ensuring adequate supply. Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation, ensures frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes equipment and frosting utensils. Complies with all health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Is meticulous about using exact measurements, paying strict attention to timing and working on a tight, fast-paced production schedule. Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements: Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. While no formal education or work experience is required, previous experience in an operational support role at a bakery or restaurant or in foodservice environment is a plus. Completes and maintains Washington State Food Handlers permit. Work Availability: Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
