It sits on the edge of Algonquin Park, one of the largest provincial parks in Ontario, featuring numerous lakes, rivers and a range of wildlife. Situated in a beautiful part of Ontario’s ‘cottage country’, Bancroft boasts a relaxing lifestyle, a close-knit community, and provides opportunity to explore nature, snowmobile on incredible trails, and participate in fishing and water sports on various lakes.North Hastings Hospital is the smallest and most rural of Quinte Health’s four hospitals, and works closely with the Bancroft Family Health Team. It is a six-bed primary care hospital that operates a busy, 24/7 emergency department (including emergency obstetrics). The inpatient beds are available for medical and palliative care services. North Hastings Hospital also provides diagnostic services, physiotherapy, outreach clinics and telemedicine services. NHH works closely with the other three Quinte Health hospitals, as well as regional health centres, to serve the community together. The North Hastings Hospital team is truly like one big family.
