We are the only non-profit, post acute comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation program in Nevada serving individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries (ABI and TBI), as well as neurological impairments and spinal cord injuries. Job Description We are looking for an experienced full time Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Assistant serves as a key member of the team. Accounts Receivable Assistant Responsibilities: Maintain contact with Medicaid and private payors after billing, providing any requested information, and rebill as necessary. Provide support to patients by addressing questions related to billing, payment options, and account balances. Partner with patients to develop payment plans and ensure the timely collection of insurance co-payments and deductibles. Report all revenue and adjusting entries Post private pay and Medicaid receipts into medical billing software and prepare/provide accounts receivable reports. Report month-end accounts billed balances and past due amounts. Review and appeal assigned unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims for proper payment Qualifications Accounts Receivable Assistant Qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience with accounts receivable and collections in a health care environment Understanding of medical accounts receivable processes and practices as well as medical terminology and medical coding. Strong professional English communication skills Ability to review detailed financial worksheets on paper and electronically Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines Two year accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience a plus.
