Description

Position: Special Education Teacher Join our dedicated elementary team as a Special Educator and become a vital partner in our mission to champion every student's potential. We are seeking a collaborative and proactive educator to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment. Role Overview: Deliver specialized, data-driven instruction in core subjects to foster student growth. Facilitate the development of students' behavioral and social-emotional competencies. Oversee comprehensive progress monitoring and documentation to meet compliance requirements. Manage and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district standards. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing professional learning and problem-solving. Tailor curriculum and instructional methods to meet the varied needs of learners across multiple disability categories. Serve as a key liaison, fostering strong partnerships with families, teachers, and support staff to ensure coordinated care and success. Requirements Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement.
