We are currently seeking a Apartment Superintendent with a strong background in property maintenance and management to join our team in the Newark/East Orange, NJ area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Apartment Superintendent or similar role
• Skilled in minor repairs (light plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry)
• Hands-on construction experience is a strong plus
• Ability to manage supplies, equipment, and inventory for multiple units
• Must be able to visit properties and handle yard maintenance and trash removal
• Familiar with City of East Orange inspection processes and housing regulations
• Knowledge of Property Management practices and tenant relations
• Must be available for on-call emergency support
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Licensed tradesperson (electrical, plumbing, etc.) is highly preferred

• Routine maintenance and urgent repairs
• Coordinating and supervising vendors or repair crews
• Maintaining clean and safe common areas
• Responding to tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Conducting pre- and post-inspections of units
• Ensuring compliance with local housing codes and inspection requirements
