This is a full‑time role, reporting to the Head of Finance, with two days per week in our Milton Keynes office and occasional travel to Bedford. Who Are We? Key Responsibilities: As our Finance Officer, you’ll play a key part in keeping the firm’s day‑to‑day financial operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Head of Finance and the wider team, you’ll help maintain accurate financial records, support reporting and analysis, and ensure our financial processes flow efficiently within a regulated legal environment. Management Accounting & Reporting Support Maintain revenue, WIP and debt reporting Maintain internal financial reporting packs Analyse expenditure and maintain pivot‑based reporting Produce training and expenditure reports Operational Finance Monitoring Maintain weekly cashflow reporting Prepare consultant commission schedules Assist with bonus reporting Assist client payments and refunds Produce WIP and debt reports for distribution Financial Controls & Reconciliation Perform purchase ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Review expense claims for accuracy and policy compliance Monitor posting variances and investigate discrepancies Support reconciliation of core financial records and outputs Finance Administration & Support Provide support for billing processes when required Assist with monitoring and responding to the accounts inbox Support finance‑related calls and queries Provide cover for operational finance processes as needed Who We Are Looking For Essential Experience in a finance or accounting role Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables and financial reporting tools High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills Confident communicator who enjoys supporting internal teams Organised, accurate and able to juggle varied financial tasks Desirable AAT qualified or working towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA Experience supporting financial reporting or management accounts preparation Experience working in a professional services environment Experience working with WIP, billing or time-based revenue models Experience working in a legal or law firm finance environment Awareness of SRA Accounts Rules or experience working with client money Personal Attributes Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work across both operational finance administration and financial reporting tasks Good communication skills when dealing with fee earners and internal teams Ability to manage multiple finance tasks and deadlines Why Join Fullers?
