Responsibilities
  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Manage new product development projects in support of the overall plant objectives. Deliver measurable results on schedule and on budget.
  • Create PFMEA (Process FMEAs) to drive Control Plan and Work Instruction development
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Hands-on aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes is desired.
  • Integrated manufacturing experience in one or more of the following: machining, fabrication, welding, electrical systems, assembly processes, or HVAC or heavy industrial manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
  • Develop clear work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications.
