We’re working with a successful food manufacturer in Norfolk to recruit an NPD Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on food factory and NPD experience who wants to take ownership of projects from concept through to launch.

THE ROLE

This position is focused on the delivery of new product development within a food manufacturing environment. The emphasis is on managing defined projects from brief through to factory launch, ensuring all technical and operational requirements are met. The business typically manages around 12 projects per year, including 3–5 full product launches, ranging from exploratory work through to paid trials and full-scale introductions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects end-to-end through a structured stage-gate process.
• Developing timelines, costings, and project plans to keep projects on track.
• Coordinating kitchen trials, factory trials, and full launches, gathering feedback and driving improvements.
• Producing and managing all supporting documentation, including line forms, packaging sign-offs, and specifications.
• Working with new raw materials and ensuring accuracy of technical data.
• Supporting Technical during audits and HACCP processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an NPD, Technical, or food factory role within FMCG.
• Proven experience of working hands-on in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• A practical, delivery-focused approach — able to collaborate effectively with Production and Technical teams.
• Attention to detail and a drive to see projects through to successful launch.

This position provides the opportunity to play a key role in bringing new products to market within a food manufacturing environment. With a clearly defined project pipeline, you will be responsible for delivering projects that are both commercially important and technically challenging.
