Description

IFC is part of a fast growing group of companies, including Nor-sea Foods and Nolan Seafoods, based in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen. It produces a variety of quality fish products largely under private label for a world wide customer base. We trade principally in the Pelagic species – Mackerel, Herring and Sprats, Whitefish – Haddock, Whiting and Coley, and Salmon.
We have a requirement for a full time NPD Technologist working on day shift alongside the NPD Manager for the group of companies. The positon is primarily based in Fraserburgh with occasional errands required as well as occasional travel to our site in Aberdeen.

  • Self motivated.
  • Reliable.
  • Ability to use initiative and be creative.
  • Excellent communication skills with employees of all levels, from Operatives to Directors.
  • Flexible, within NPD there is no rigid timetable for tasks, breaks, etc.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, being interested in food and the development of products is essential.
  • Willingness to attend events which may occur in the evenings or weekends and sometimes away from home eg awards ceremonies.
  • IT skills
  • Ability to work in a small team and stay calm under pressure.
  • Driving licence with own transport would be preferred.
