JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NPD Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product specifications for private and own-label food products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the product development process. This role involves coordinating lab sample submissions, conducting first production inspections, reviewing supplier documentation, and carrying out scheduled internal audits. Additionally, the role includes managing the Foods Connected online portal for specification management and ensuring backend data is kept updated. This is a fast-paced environment where projects must be delivered within tight deadlines, requiring strong time management and problem-solving skills.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience: Previous experience in food product development, quality assurance, or technical roles within the food industry.
• Retail Specification & NPD Experience: Candidates must have prior experience in retail specification management, NPD processes, and specification writing for food products.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards, HACCP, retailer requirements, and industry regulations.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.
