Description

We are now looking for an NPI and Escalation Lead to join our team in Espoo, Finland. You’d be working 80% as Technical Project Manager managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, where Nokia delivers first time new products to customers. 20% of your working time would be dedicated to manage high-profile customer escalations at product unit level as Escalation Lead.
In both roles, you are the key interface of R&D towards services organization and selected Nokia customers. This position contributes to Nokia’s new product introduction (NPI) process within core networks. The team focuses on subscriber management, signaling, and policy control functions of core network. You would work closely with customers, customer teams, services units, R&D teams and Nokia competency development teams.
As part of our team, you will:

Manage NPI projects, where Nokia delivers new products for the first time to customers:

  • Lead NPI project execution, including planning, resource management, and cross-functional coordination to meet customer milestones
  • Act as the main interface of the product unit and R&D at customer projects, managing escalations, support, and product feedback for continuous improvement
  • Ensure service team readiness by driving competency development in collaboration with internal training stakeholders
  • Oversee software validation, fault handling, and corrective actions to secure smooth project acceptance and delivery
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful, on-time project outcomes

Manage high-profile customer escalations at product unit in a rotational model: every 8th week, you’ll be the primary contact for global crisis control for 7 days at a time:

  • Lead product unit support activities to resolve high-profile technical problems at customer networks
  • Maintain constant communication with key interface partners and teams to drive the escalation topic to complete closure and maximum satisfaction of the customer
  • Act as primary contact point of product organization for emergencies and management escalations
  • Manage executive communication of product organization in case of network emergencies

You have:

  • Experience in telecommunications, especially 4G/5G core networks and cloud computing (OpenShift experience is a benefit)
  • Solid project management and communication skills (project management certification is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and proactively engage stakeholders
  • A customer-oriented mindset for setting priorities and managing expectations
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Flexibility to work beyond office hours in the rotational Escalation Lead role
