Description
As an NPI Buyer, you'll play a critical role in supporting new product development by managing procurement activities across internal manufacturing and external contract partners. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient sourcing, supplier engagement, and material flow. Partnering with engineering and project teams to identify and source Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements Partner with design team to minimize supplier risk Manage a variety of projects at varying levels of engagement Establishing and managing global supply chains for new product introductions Placing purchase orders and managing supplier relationships to meet project timelines Supporting supplier onboarding and ensuring compliance with Fluke's supply chain policies Driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems Managing project BOMs and engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory Obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts to qualified suppliers Acting as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding delivery status and issue resolution Supportive, inclusive workplace culture Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing, bills of material and supply chain principles Experience with supplier negotiation and relationship management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data for decision-making Effective communication and presentation skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Desire to learn, adapt, improve, and redirect with new information Certifications such as CPIM, APICS, or ISM
