QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or practical manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in precision machining or a similar engineering role.
  • Proven experience in quotation preparation and project management.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC milling and turning operations.
  • Technical ability to read engineering drawings and detailed understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Must be freely be able to work in Ireland or have current work permit

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

The NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer will play a critical role in managing the technical and commercial aspects of new projects. This position requires a strong understanding of precision machining processes, cost estimation, and project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New Product Introduction (NPI):
  • Lead the NPI process, ensuring smooth transition from concept to production.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Quotation Management:
  • Analyse RFQs (Request for Quotations) and create detailed cost estimates for new projects.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.
  • Liaises with customers to define requirement and seek clarifications.
  • Submit quotations and follow up with customers for feedback
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and internal teams regarding machining capabilities and design considerations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
  • Document Interpretation:
  • Read and understand customer specifications and quality documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in machining technology.
