We are searching for a New Product Introduction Engineer for Amplifiers to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico location. In this role, you will be Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating new product introduction programs through project management tools to achieve an effective implementation of processes and systems and assuring a successful product launch into market.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: BA/BS in Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronic.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar position.
  • Hands on experience on: Project Management, problem solving, Lean and DFM/PFMEA.
  • Hands on experience on software applications such as SAP (or other ERP systems), MS Project, and MS Office products.
  • Experience in leading projects.
  • Technical experience of using CNC machinery, lathes, drill press; grinders and other tool room equipment (required).
  • Fixtures design and construction.
  • English as a second language (required).
  • Experience on guitar processes or guitar playing a plus.
  • Along with a passion and love for music and Fender guitars.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Development and R&D at early stages of product design on product specification and proof of concept (P0/P1).
  • Lead DFM/PFMEA efforts to assure manufacturability.
  • Product quotation (RFQ) and project budget.
  • Plan, coordinate and lead prototype (MPR) and pilot builds.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to assure an effective product launch, at the right time, quality, cost & budget.
  • Assure all project documentation is delivered at the proper project phase.
  • Deployment of Quality assurance into the new process/products.
  • Tracking quality performance into the Proto, Pilot & RTS phase.
  • Lead and contribute to problem solving efforts for new products introduction.
  • Provide technical support to team members and production personnel as required.
  • Assist in the documentation of regulatory information related to new processes, formulation, and application development.
  • Guide formulation and development efforts towards federal and state regulations governing and other safety compliances.
  • Establish processes and procedures to optimize cost and quality of manufacturing methods.
  • Interface with customers (internal and external) regarding projects and customer quality issues resolution.
  • Work with customers and suppliers on new product development, testing and qualification.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
