Overview New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer San Juan del Río, Querétaro | On‑site Why this role exists At Morgan SJdR, new products don’t magically appear on the production floor ready to run. Someone has to turn customer specs into real, repeatable manufacturing processes — and that’s where this role comes in.As our NPI Engineer, you’ll take new products from concept to stable mass production. You’ll set the process, document it properly, challenge what doesn’t work, and make sure we’re ready before the green light is given. Not just ticking boxes — actually making production work. The role You’ll own the technical side of new product launches. That means defining routes and BOMs, leading APQP and PPAP activities, validating capacity, and using data (not gut feel) to improve performance before release to serial production.You’ll work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and customers — speaking the same technical language and keeping everyone aligned. Responsibilities Key responsibilities Read and interpret customer specifications and translate them into clear manufacturing process flows Define and document routes, BOMs, and master data in ERP/MRP systems Lead APQP activities to anticipate risks, prevent common failure modes, and capture improvement opportunities Coordinate and document first runs and PPAP submissions within the QMS Analyse yield, performance, and capability data before releasing products to mass production Use statistical and quality tools to identify improvement areas (and act on them) Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions Perform MSA across different inspection methods Conduct time studies to validate capacity and support production planning Document lessons learned, update SOPs, and standardise best practices in the QMS Support technical discussions with customers and internal teams Track and close all documentation required for program release (Please ensure the font you copy/paste is changed to Arial 10pt) Qualifications What you’ll bring A bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, or a related engineering field Hands‑on experience with APQP, PPAP, BOMs, routing, and manufacturing documentation Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, VSM, TPM, 6S, JIT, etc.) Confidence analysing data and using it to support decisions Intermediate problem‑solving skills and a structured approach to root cause analysis Clear communication skills and the ability to work across departments English at written and conversational level (B1 or higher) A practical, team‑first mindset — you get things done without drama Nice to have Experience with injection moulding processes Strong understanding of manufacturing environments Comfort with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Knowledge of statistics and tools like Minitab Basic CAD/CAM skills What you’ll get A hands‑on engineering role with real ownership of product launches Exposure to customers, cross‑functional teams, and manufacturing decision‑making A site where process discipline matters and improvements don’t sit in a drawer Stable working environment with room to grow your technical impact If this sounds like you, apply now Morgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
