Key characteristics for fulfilling the role of NPI Engineer are: 

• Analyzing customer requirements: Assessing complex technical issues and designs from potential customers for manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing);
• Preparing calculations: Calculating costs, lead times, required tooling, and hours for high-tech or industrial components/systems;
• Collaborate: Liaise closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Production to determine the most efficient production route;
• Analyzing customer requirements: Assessing complex technical issues and designs from potential customers for manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing);
• Preparing calculations: Calculating costs, lead times, required tooling, and hours for high-tech or industrial components/systems;
• Collaborate: Liaise closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Production to determine the most efficient production route;
• You are the technical production point of contact for customer interactions; 
• Analyzing drawings, sketches, photos, or CAD models to develop a process plan for manufacturing modules and systems. 
• Draft specifications for the required production tooling and coordinate their execution; 
• Close collaboration with the Manufacturing engineer. 

Your strength

• You have a technical higher professional education (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field); 
• You have gained relevant work experience, preferably with industrial manufacturing and engineering projects; 
• You have a command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written; 
• You have knowledge of the development of production systems; 
• You are familiar with or willing to take training courses in process control for production environments: process flow, P-FMEA, SPC, control plan, Yellow Belt or Green Belt, etc.
