Role Description We are seeking an experienced NPI Engineering Lead to take full ownership of the engineering aspects of ongoing production across all manufacturing lines (in-house and/or at subcontractors). The role focuses on industrialization, production support, engineering data management, and continuous improvement. It includes responsibility for product transfer from R&D to production (NPI), manufacturing files, ECO execution and implementation, yield and quality improvement, and ensuring stable, efficient, and scalable production. The role is hands-on and operations-oriented, bridging R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. As part of your role, you will Own and maintain Invenco’s product structure (product tree) for multidisciplinary hardware-software systems. Lead R&D-to-production handover and ensure end-to-end NPI readiness and execution. Define and implement production engineering processes integrated into R&D and Operations. Build and maintain manufacturing, assembly, and test instructions and related engineering documentation. Lead and own the company’s PLM environment, including configuration management, traceability, and change control (ECO/ECR). Manage AVL and supplier specifications together with Supply Chain and Operations. Define and oversee product lifecycle and EOL processes, including tracking upgrades and field improvements. Requirements BSc. in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial and management Engineering Proven leadership experience managing or leading engineers and cross‑functional teams throughout end‑to‑end NPI execution. 7+ years of experience in NPI and/or Manufacturing Engineering for hardware-based products. Hands-on experience with hardware-based products is required, with a strong focus on R&D-to-production handover, manufacturing readiness, and NPI. Experience with multidisciplinary products combining hardware, electronics, mechanics, and software. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, NPI practices, DFM/DFA, and engineering documentation. Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable engineering and NPI processes and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines. A structured, analytical mindset with high attention to detail and process ownership. Ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional execution in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the following manufacturing methods – Advantage Sheet metal (bending/laser cutting) design plastic injection molds Excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
The NPI Engineering Lead will manage the end-to-end handover from R&D to production, ensuring manufacturing readiness and process stability. They will also oversee product structure, engineering documentation, and change control processes within the PLM environment.
