BE THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Process and Systems Manager to lead the enhancement and management of the systems that underpin our certification operations. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation requirements, driving efficiencies across business processes, and enabling accurate, timely reporting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced systems and operations professional who thrives on making processes smarter, more effective, and fully aligned with industry standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCES

  • High degree of professional integrity and reliability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with deep understanding of complex systems.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Effective communication skills, able to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in business support management within a certification or regulated industry.
  • Sound knowledge of UKAS requirements and processes.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing projects, and delivering measurable process improvements.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or PMP (preferred).
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and industry awareness.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in business systems and data management platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strategic approach to managing and improving business systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison with UKAS and other accreditation bodies regarding system management and compliance.
  • Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of key business systems, particularly EQM.
  • Lead on reporting and compliance activities, including:
  • Bi-weekly UKAS Certcheck uploads
  • Monthly reconciliation of new work entries
  • Timely generation of late and overdue reports
  • Annual fee run support and oversight
  • Provide system support for new starters, ensuring effective onboarding and training.
  • Create bespoke reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with client management teams to align systems with client service needs.
  • Ensure robust quality control of all system outputs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
