We’re currently seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our friendly team Full time – 37.5 hours a week at Lavarack Health Centre, located in Townsville. About the Role As a valued member of our dental team, you’ll play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the oral health of ADF personnel, delivering high-quality care in a well-supported clinical environment. In this role, you will: Deliver oral hygiene advice and treatments in line with Defence policies Perform periodontal charting, root planing, implant maintenance, and other routine procedures Take and interpret prescribed radiographs (intra/extra oral) Promote infection control and maintain surgical hygiene to national standards Manage patient care, referrals, records, bookings, and recalls Support clinical governance, quality improvement activities, and equipment upkeep Play an active role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for your patients About Us & The Role In partnership with Bupa, Serco supports the Australian Defence Force across 50+ bases nationwide. What You Will Need to Be Successful in the Role A recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene (or Oral Health Therapy) Current unconditional and unrestricted registration with AHPRA At least 2 years of experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting Proven ability to perform a wide range of dental hygiene procedures independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team approach High standards in infection control and patient care Australian Citizenship – required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance Why Join Us?
