Duties include but are not limited to minor/extensive repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgement, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHA's, SJP's, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained, all of which are necessary for meeting job expectations and the prevention of downtime.   We are not offering sponsorship for this position at this time.    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications: Two-year technical degree in an electrical/electronics discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance or 5 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Demonstrate knowledge of electrical distribution systems, controls, automation, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, preventive maintenance of industrial equipment. Willingness to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, holidays. Must be knowledgeable of electrical safe work practices. Must be knowledgeable in the use of electrical testing equipment, multimeter, insulation resistance tester, etc. Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments.
