Your technical expertise and dedication will be recognized and rewarded as you help shape the future of molecular imaging Job Summary: Provides technical assistance in nuclear medicine by calculating and administering radioactive materials for therapeutic and diagnostic imaging, assists in preparation for examination, obtains blood samples, instructs students and assists in development of new diagnostic procedures. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical staff, staff, students, and patients. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: SPECT imaging experience and basic knowledge of NRC/Agreement State requirements is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Graduate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required. Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion. Must have comprehensive knowledge of nuclear medicine exams including but not limited to techniques, principles, equipment, and rationale behind the procedures performed in the department. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-(N) Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-N) certification is required within six months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire/transfer date.
