Salary range: The salary range for this position is $425,000 - $525,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The UC Davis School of Medicine, Department of Radiology is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Nuclear Medicine Imaging position in the In Residence, Clinical “X” Series, or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank (commensurate with experience and credentials). Expertise in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine is essential.
Criteria for In Residence Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, independent research and creative work, demonstrate professional competence and activity, and provide University and public service.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical “X” Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.
The candidate will be involved in all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine. Participation in weeknight and weekend call in a rotation with other nuclear medicine division members is expected. The service hours may require routine coverage till midnight.
Nuclear Medicine equipment includes three PET/CT’s including the EXPLORER Total-Body scanner, and three SPECT-CT cameras. There are two DEXA machines, a thyroid probe and an intra-operative probe for positron emitters available. There are two medical cyclotrons and a state-of-the-art GMP-grade radiochemistry facility on site.

In addition to the base salary, faculty receive call pay averaging $18,000 to $26,000 annually (based on division), and an annual Z bonus of up to $20,000. Compensation for professional development includes an annual allotment for licenses and conferences. We also offer a one-time relocation allotment of $20,000 upon hire (based on eligibility criteria).

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Possess CA Medical Licensure, eligibility for licensure in the state of California, or meet eligibility requirements for a CA Special Permit
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
Willingness to further train in specific areas of division interest (theranostic, cardiac, and oncology fields).
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
Board certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (DR).
Strong research background experience with theranostic agents.
