Position Summary Rome Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our Nuclear Medicine Department. This role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, quality patient care, and staff supervision in an acute care hospital environment. The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor will oversee departmental operations, regulatory readiness, accreditation requirements, and radiation safety processes while also performing nuclear medicine procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed. Responsibilities Provide administrative and operational oversight of the Nuclear Medicine Department Ensure departmental compliance with standards established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Manage renewal and amendments of Radioactive Materials Licensure in collaboration with the Radiation Safety Committee Maintain readiness for NYSDOH surveys and coordinate corrective action plans when necessary Oversee ACR accreditation renewals and compliance activities Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to manage personnel monitoring programs Develop, review, and implement department policies and procedures Supervise Nuclear Medicine Technologists and support staff development Perform nuclear medicine examinations in an acute care setting, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases Promote quality, safety, efficiency, and excellent patient care standards Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required Certifications CNMT certification required ARRT (NM) certification preferred Experience Acute care hospital experience preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of: NRC regulations Radiation safety standards ACR accreditation processes NYSDOH compliance requirements Why Join Rome Health?
