Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs imaging procedures to produce scanograms and measures concentration of radionuclides in specified body areas, according to technical and processional standard. Measures radioactive dosage prescribed for patient with dose calibrator. Positioning of equipment and patient to produce diagnostic quality images. Administration of pre-medication and radiopharmaceuticals. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities 1. Policies and Procedures 1.1 Demonstrates competence in all Nuclear Medicine procedures. 2. Education/In-Service 2.1 Completes safety modules each year along with HIPAA notice. 3. Work Ethics 3.1 Ability to be flexible with work schedule and coordinate workflow. 4. Patient Interaction 4.1 Greeting all patients following AIDET and making any necessary adjustments to the exam based on the patient's age group. 5. Safety 5.1 Practice ALARA to maintain low radiation dose to self and others. 6. Equipment 6.1 Demonstrates competence and proficiency with all Nuclear Medicine equipment. 7. Processing 7.1 Maintains the ability to perform all required processing procedures on the Syngo computer. 8. Quality Control 8.1 Regularly inspects and performs calibration procedures before equipment is used for patient examination. These are performed daily, weekly, and monthly. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelors Degree, Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program. EXPERIENCE One to two years experience LICENSURE Licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Certified ARRT (N) and/ or CNMT registered. CPR certification (BLS) required and ACLS preferred. YNHHS Requisition ID 143040
