About this role
I-MED is pleased to be offering an opportunity for an experienced PET/ Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You will be based at the John Fawkner hospital in Coburg and rotating around the Northwest region. This is a Full time Permanent position working Monday to Friday, with on-call availability.
Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard.
As a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will manage patients and operate specialised imaging equipment in accordance with professional standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who is willing to learn in a busy private practice and hospital settings.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radio-pharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard
  • Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine and PET examinations independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
  • Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
  • Applicants must be AHPRA Registered and hold a VIC radiation license
  • Diagnostic CT accreditation would be an advantage but not required
