Description We are searching for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time, 1 year contract opportunity with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Syracuse, NY. Any active U.S. state license accepted (no NY license requirement). Position Highlights $45/hour + sign-on bonus Weekday schedule (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) Manageable caseload (4–8 studies daily) Any U.S. state license accepted W-2 benefits including healthcare and 401(k) Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Syracuse, NY - VA Medical Center Base Pay: $45/hour + Sign On Bonus Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm, 30 minute unpaid lunch , Occasional Overtime & After Hours On-Call/Callback Coverage Contract: 1 Year Minimum with Extensions Benefits W-2 employment Healthcare coverage 401(k) retirement plan Sign-on bonus Extension opportunities Coverage Details Case Load: 4-8 Nuclear Medicine Cases per Day Training: two week familiarization training with protocols, SOP, and equipment Procedures: bone scan, bone marrow, brain scan, cardiac stress, CSF leak, Gastric Emptying, GI Bleed Scan, Hemangioma scan, HIDA, Liver/Spleen Scan, Lung perfusion and ventilation scan, Octreotide therapy, Parathyroid, Thyroid Scan/Uptake, Met Search, Iodine 131 Therapy Inpatient & Outpatient Requirements Current, Full, Unrestricted Radiologic Technology License - Any State Clean Malpractice History & Criminal Record Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology, RT (N) Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently Minimum of 3 Years experience performing exams/procedures listed above Understanding of anatomical structures and organ systems as visualized in nuclear medicine imaging Ability to evaluate scan quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy Experience operating digital nuclear medicine imaging equipment

The technologist will manage a caseload of 4 to 8 nuclear medicine studies daily, performing various procedures such as bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and therapy administration like Iodine 131 Therapy.
