Our nuclear pharmacy prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use, operating under some of the most rigorous regulatory standards in all of healthcare. The Role We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Nuclear Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support all aspects of nuclear pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a licensed nuclear pharmacist — from preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals to maintaining radiation safety compliance and coordinating time-sensitive deliveries to hospitals and imaging centers. This is a highly specialized, non-retail role that requires precision, accountability, and a genuine commitment to regulatory compliance and patient safety. Key Responsibilities Prepare, label, and dispense radiopharmaceutical doses under pharmacist supervision Perform quality control testing — radiochemical purity, pH, visual inspection Operate and calibrate dose calibrators; manage time-sensitive preparation schedules Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per NRC and ALARA standards Coordinate time-sensitive deliveries to hospitals and imaging centers Maintain accurate documentation per NRC, AZ Board of Pharmacy, and accrediting body requirements Requirements Required Active Arizona Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) License in good standing — required at time of hire Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a regulated environment Ability to work in a time-sensitive, highly structured environment with fluctuating workload demands Comfortable working in controlled and restricted radiation areas with full PPE compliance Authorized to work lawfully in the United States Preferred (We Will Train!) Previous nuclear pharmacy or radiopharmaceutical experience Familiarity with NRC regulations, ALARA principles, or radiation safety protocols Experience with dose calibrators, wipe tests, or area surveys Nuclear pharmacy technician training program completion Experience coordinating time-sensitive deliveries to clinical or imaging facilities Arizona Home Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
