JOB SUMMARY

This individual will function as the overall Quality Lead for the Burlington Site’s Nuclear and ISO Quality Management Systems and management of the relevant qualification stamps. The Nuclear program includes 10CFR50 appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME section III, ASME NQA-1 and supports N, NA, NPT, NS, N285 and N299.2 programs. The candidate will also be responsible for the overall management of the Nuclear Quality Control Inspection Program, Nuclear Quality Assurance Audit Program, QA/QC personnel training and associated certification of QC Inspectors and Lead Auditors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of ASME code and Nuclear Safety requirements
  • Knowledge of the National Board NR and VR Program requirements
  • ANSI 45.2.23/NQA-1 Lead Auditor Certified preferred. If not current, must be eligible to obtain this certification within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standard
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or demonstrated equivalent experience is mandatory
  • 5+ years direct working knowledge and experience managing a 10 CFR 50/52 Appendix B Nuclear Quality Program or ANSI/ASME NQA-1 program, and knowledge of 10 CFR 21 – Non-conformance reporting requirements
  • Experience with nuclear quality standards and ASME Codes including Section III, V, VIII, IX & XI
  • Experience in interfacing with Authorized Inspection Agencies (AIA) for ASME-related fabrication and repair work
  • ANSI 45.2.23/NQA-1 Lead Auditor Certified.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with local tendering and end market teams, as required, to ensure understanding of Nuclear quality scope and documentation requirements for successful compliance with all requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of Nuclear QMS with ASME Section III, ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50/52 appendix B, 10 CFR 21, N, NA, NPT, NS stamps and N285 and N299 certifications etc.
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 9001-2015 certification for commercial product line.
  • Serve as the representative to the Nuclear Industry Assessment Corporation (NIAC)
  • Manage and maintain the Nuclear & related Quality Assurance and Inspection Programs.
  • Coordinate all Nuclear QA/QC requirements for the manufacturing site and supply chain.
  • Interface with regulators, external auditors, customers and company stakeholders.
  • Drive and track Internal audits and coordinate closure of audit NCRs.
  • Drive and track external audits (supplier & customer) and coordinate closure of audit NCRs.
  • Execute regular Nuclear supplier audits as a team member or as lead auditor.
  • Support and implement site initiatives to improve quality and reduce rework.
  • Manage a team of QA personnel to support Nuclear & related Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Minimal travel after initial Nuclear program transfer.
