Company Description Major nuclear new build project in the United Kingdom, currently in pre-operational testing and commissioning phase. The scope covered by the contractor includes the valve & valve maintenance package across the site. Although the job descriptions are written with a maintenance vocabulary, the activity actually covers reception of newly installed valves, pre-commissioning checks, calibration, tightness testing, fault diagnosis and rework on new equipment, in interface with the OEMs, the Contractor, the Employer and the UK Nuclear Safety Authority. All roles are based on-site in the UK. Working language: English. Long-term mobilisation. Job Description The Valve Preparator is responsible for the preparation of intervention packages on valves, in compliance with applicable HSE, quality and environmental requirements. Specifically: • Preparation of the intervention dossier: Work Order Package (WOP), applicable operating procedures; • Tracking the document validation workflow; • Creation of required deviations / concessions; • Maintenance and update of the list of applicable documents; • Interface with the Contractor, the Employer and the UK Nuclear Safety Authority (Office for Nuclear Regulation) when required. Qualifications Education / experience • Vocational qualification (Bac Pro / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in a technical environment; • or technical Bachelor / Bac+2 (mechanics, valve engineering or equivalent) with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. Languages • English: fluent (working language on site, including written documentation and interaction with the UK Safety Authority).
Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing valve intervention packages and Work Order Packages in compliance with HSE and quality standards. This includes managing document validation workflows, creating deviations, and interfacing with the UK Nuclear Safety Authority.
