Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse A $38.580 to $50.070 Travel Required: No Job Description: MSU provides an intermediate level of care requiring basic cardiac monitoring skills with integrated medical surgical nursing knowledge to support medical patients with higher acuity care needs. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Experience in critical care Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Adult ECG interpretation from an accredited course is required. Other Education and Training Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) Other specialty certificates related to the clinical program area as required; Examples include CCNP; Level 3 of APEX Innov Impulse 2.0. Nursing diploma is acceptable Knowledge and Abilities Ability to facilitate teamwork is essential Demonstrated initiative, self-direction, organizational & leadership abilities Knowledge in adult education Demonstrates leadership abilities Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice Other Information Scheduled hours of work may be reduced (if applicable) during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
