The RN/RPN is required to coordinate with all the departments within the facility, families and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care. The RN/RPN must promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms. The RN/RPN is expected to participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain their own professional competence. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Competencies Basic - Interpersonal skills Basic - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice Knowledge and Abilities Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment Ability to competently use computers and software applications Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to communicate with clients from diverse social backgrounds Other Information May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives Wawota is located approximately 150 km northeast of Estevan Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) For more information on the town of Wawota please visit https://wawota.com/
